Gateway Registration - New Student

New Students

  • Students entering Kindergarten next school year (even if they are currently enrolled in a child development program)
  • Students who are moving from one community to a new community before school starts, plus can provide the necessary residency documentation by the start of school (this would include the 1st Class Funded PK students).
  • Students who do not live in Elmore County currently, and know they are moving can provide the necessary residency documentation by the start of school.
Returning Student

Returning Students

Students who attended an Elmore County Public K-12 School last year school year and are not moving to a different community will not update their records this summer. Instead, the schools will provide a form packet for each family to complete.  If you did move to a new community then you will need to register as a "New Student" using the link above.

The EDGE Application - Virtual Student

Virtual Students

  1. Complete The EDGE Application.
  2. Wait for notification of acceptance.
  3. Once you have been notified of acceptance into The EDGE, you will then register on Gateway Registration.
Out Of District Information

Out-Of-District Enrollment Information

  1. Review and complete the Out-Of-District Enrollment Packet.
  2. Wait for notification of acceptance.
  3. Once you have been notified of acceptance of selected school, you will then register on Gateway Registration.

Out-Of-District Renewal Information

  1. Complete the Out-of-District Renewal Application
  2. Pay Tuition.

*Please note if tuition is not paid in full or by August 1st or half of the tuition is not paid by August 1st and October 1st, the student will be unenrolled.

Hardship Request Form

Hardship Request Information

  1. Complete the Hardship Request Form.
  2. Please note that the decision of this hardship request is up to the school principal.
  3. Please make sure that you have a copy of grades, attendance records, and discipline records from the 2023-2024 school year.  These documents are required as part of your hardship request.  
  4. Please note that if your hardship is approved, parents will be RESPONSIBLE for transporting their child to and from school since the school of choice is not part of their route.  Parents cannot drop off students to an address of convenience in order to ride the bus. 
  5. Once your application is submitted, your request will go through administrative review. 
  6. You should receive an email regarding the decision of your hardship request within 3 to 5 days.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  If your child is currently on a hardship, do not submit another request for the upcoming school year.  You will receive a letter by the end of March 2025 indicating if the hardship has been granted for another year or denied for the upcoming year.

Intra/Inter Transfer Request Form

Intra/Inter District Transfer Request

  1. Complete the Intra/Inter District Transfer Request Form when requesting transfer for employees' children.
  2. After the form is submitted and processed you will receive a confirmation email letting you know that the transfer has been approved.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  If your child has been approved for an Intra/Inter District Request, you do not have to submit another request for the upcoming school year.  This request automatically renews each year.

  1. View and print the Affidavit Requirements.
  2. View and print the Affidavit Form.
  3. Get the affidavit notarized and gather the required documents.
  4. To get the affidavit approved, schedule an appointment with the Office of Administrative Services (334-567-1200, 334-567-1290 ext. 26002, or 334-567-1290 ext. 26004).
  5. After approval, you may contact the school to enroll your child(ren) and ensure you take all the required documentation to that appointment.
