Children do not need to be present to receive a meal- parents or guardians can pick up on their behalf. Meals are only available to go.

As it relates to summer meal pick-up, the Alabama State Department of Education defines guardians as: whatever adult is principally responsible for the care of the child that day, such as grandparents or other adults functioning as childcare providers, can pick up meals on behalf of the children.

Plans are subject to change pending the Alabama State Department of Education’s approval of the summer feeding application.

This institution is an equal opportunity provider.
